HOMEMAKING SERVICE
Homemaking service ia a program which enables many of our elderly and or
disabled people to have help with dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming
and other light housekeeping chores. A Homemaker can not do any personal care
for the individual no hands on. They cannot drive the recipient to go shopping.
ELIGIBILITY FOR HOMEMAKING SERVICE
The recipient must be receiving eligible for one
of the waiver programs or Alternative Care Program offered through the County
Social Services.
The recipient must have a screening which is done
by a Social Worker from their County Social Service office.
IN HOME
RESPITE
The
Respite program provides care for an elderly and or disabled person while the
main care provider is not available. This person can do personal care hands
on. They may not take the person home with them. They can take them out in the
community.
ELIGIBILITY FOR RESPITE.
The recipient must be receiving eligible for one
of the waiver programs or Alternative Care Program offered through the County
Social Services.
The recipient must have a screening which is done
by a Social Worker from their County Social Service office.
CHORE
SERVICE
The
Chore Service program provides assistance to elderly and or disabled persons who
live in their own homes but can no longer mow the grass or shovel the snow.
ELIGIBILITY FOR CHORE SERVICE
The recipient must be receiving eligible for one
of the waiver programs or Alternative Care Program offered through the County
Social Services.
The recipient must have a screening which is done
by a Social Worker from their County Social Service office.
SENIOR
COMPANION PROGRAM
The
Senior Companion program provides the elderly person with someone to be their
companion. This program helps prevent depression and social problems created by
a person being isolated from social activities.
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SENIOR
COMPANION PROGRAM
The recipient must be receiving eligible
for one of the waiver programs or Alternative Care Program offered through
the County Social Services.
The recipient must have a screening which
is done by a Social Worker from their County Social Service office.
MEAL PREPARATION AND
SHOPPING
The meal preparation and shopping program
provides these necessities for elderly and or disable people who need these
services.
